Hari Om Dear Parents,
We started our class with Likhita Japa. Kids wrote 'Om Ganeshaya Namaha' for 5-8 min, followed by opening Prayers. We continued with 'Sri Ganaraya JayaGanaraya…' bajan.
We welcome new kids to the classroom. Please note that we have a WhatsApp group and request parents to join the group for faster communication - https://chat.whatsapp.com/FC8EmYbHbu233GjbwjjZUT
Recap :
We recapped through last class' lesson which was on Ganesha Symbolism. Kids came upto the board and wrote on board.
Lesson: Introduction to Yato Dharma Tato Jayah
We started with the Gurudev's quote :
'Actions are the louder expression of thought. The quality of thought is ordered by the nature of inner belief and faith'
We had interactive session and discussed about actions, thoughts, belief and faith. Karma is action - which is sparked by a thought in our mind. The intention of this thought stems from our beliefs and faith.
If the intention behind this thought is pure and without a malice, it leads in good results. Thoughts give rise to actions, actions become habits, habits defines our character.
Our actions should align with our Dharma. We asked kids about their understanding of Dharma. Their answers varied from righteousness to integrity. We then discusses about Dharma of a marker, Sun, salt/sugar. We discussed if any of these loses its innate nature what will happen. We will discuss more about this throughout the year.
Since it was our turn to lead Aarthi and pledge, we practiced once in the class
Kids followed Swamis and chanted Bhagavad Gita verse 1.
Next Class : Sep 29th 2023
Thanks and Hari Om
