Hari Om Parents,
Today was the 8th class of Balavihar!! Here is the summary of what we covered in the class today:
Opening Prayers: All of us assembled in our classroom 'Krishna', we all chanted three OMs and then chanted the Opening Prayers - Sahana Vavatu. All the kids chanted together nicely. It felt very nice and calm after.
Sloka time: We then chanted the slokas -EkaDantam -Ganesha sloka, and we learnt Krishna sloka and repeated it a couple of times. After this we chanted Saraswati sloka, and Guru Sloka. All the kids repeated nicely and some chanted individually too.
Discussion: Each kid was asked to say how they celebrated Deepavali last week and what they liked the most. Heard very interesting responses.Kids happily shared.
Attendance: Attendance was taken and each kid responded by saying Hari Om. We had less kids coming in for class today hence kids were made to revise what we learnt so far for slokas.
Introduction: Alphabet Chant : We learnt the Alphabet chant -

Yoga: Kids then Tree Pose, Stretching exercises, and we did the Butterfly pose, through which we travelled to places of their choice and we visited the Ice Cream shop and kids shared their favorite ice creams with toppings.
Game time: Then we played multiple games with the kids who came in for class today :
1. Find the missing classmate
2. Let the Tiger In
3. Tug of war
4. Four corners game
Kids happily played together and each one wanted to be a lead in the game, and overall we all had Fun!! Game time class pictures have been shared in the whatsapp group.
Geeta Chanting: Please make kids chant Bhagavad Gita verses learnt so far in class and record them and send this recording to geeta@chinmayavrindavan.org with the child's name, session, Grade, and the verse numbers as the subject line.
It was a very interactive class with kids. Kids shared interesting views and thoughts and happily participated in all of the Class games and discussions.
Note: Next Class is on Dec 3rd. No class next Sunday due to Thanksgiving!
