Nov 3, 2023 - Grade 5 (Friday)

Hari Om Parents

We started our class with Likhita japa and our daily prayers (Page 11 of My Prayers book).

After the daily prayers were completed. We practiced the entire Ganesha Pancharatnam (Page 30 of My prayers book). We have completed Ganesh Pancharatnam, still many kids are not able to read and recite. We request parents to engage them and learn/ practice the shlokas along with them. We will be starting Nirvana Shatakam in our next class.

Since this was our short class we were having saraswati puja in our temple for all the children. We recapped what we did in the last class, starting from king Shantanu's meeting of Ganga until the episode of birth of Dhritarashtra, Pandu and Vidhur.

We played a jeopardy quiz. We divided kids into 4 groups since we had 20 kids each group having 5 kids and named the groups based on Yugas. (Satya/Treta/Dvapara/Kali Yuga).

Satya Yuga won the Jeopardy with 900 points. We could not complete our quiz as it was time for us to head to the temple for saraswati puja.

Requesting parents to make children practice daily prayers/Ganesha Pancharatnam and Gita shlokas Chapter 4 until 5th. Please also record and send them to the gita chanting team so that kids and the Balavihar houses get points.

Until we meet next time (i.e. on Nov 17th 2023). Since it is NJ teacher's convention week and also festival of deepavali, we would not be meeting on Friday (November 12th).

Wishing you and your family a very happy and safe deepavali!
