Hari Om Parents,
It was wonderful to see children arriving to class on time. They were eager to learn new lessons about Bhagavatam. We had an engaging class of BalaVihar.
What we covered in the class today:
We started our class with chanting OM 3 times
· We practiced Ganesha Sharanam Bhajan
· Chanted beginning prayers for goddesses Saraswati (Saraswati namastubhyam), Lakshmi (Karage vasate) and Durga (sarva mangala mangale).
· We learned Guru stotram "Akhandala mandalaakaram" verses 1-8, all children participated in learning eight verses of Guru stotram from pg. 61 of My Prayers book
· Children shared how they welcomed new year.
· Then we learned Gangecha, Yamunecha prayer that can be practiced during taking a bath.
· Children learned Sanatkumaras' story of how to cross ocean of samsara without the risk of ferocious sharks; Anger, Delusion, Lust, Greed, Pride and Jealousy.
· Listened to story about Unity in Diversity which is about have people of different strengths come together to enjoy life and make it interesting.
· Children practiced Bhagawath Geeta chapter 4 verses 13 and 14 with the help of Swamiji's video.
We look forward to seeing children next week.

Hari Om Parents,
It was so impressive to see children arriving to class on time with kurtis and kurtas. They were waiting to learn new lessons about Bhagavatam. We had an interactive class of BalaVihar.
What we covered in the class today:
We started our class with chanting OM 3 times
· We practiced Ganesha Sharanam Bhajan
· Chanted beginning prayers for goddesses Saraswati (Saraswati namastubhyam), Lakshmi (Karage vasate) and Durga (sarva mangala mangale).
· We learned Guru stotram "Akhandala mandalaakaram" verses 1-12, all children participated in learning seven verses of Guru stotram from pg. 61 of My Prayers book
· We then listened to Puranjana and Avignatha story which tells how jeeva should be connected to Brahman, the lord. And how Prachinabarhi followed the teachings of Narada. The story tells about how a king should take care of his city as a responsibility.
· Children played "a very dear friend" game in pairs. One child acted as king and the other one acted as friend and suggested how-to do-good things and how to be responsible.
· Then we listened to Priyavrata story which tells that God dwells in all is the attitude of surrounding unto the Divine will.
· Children practiced Bhagawath Geeta chapter 4 verses 15 and 16 with the help of Swamiji's video.
We look forward to seeing children next week.
