Please find the below updates from our class on Friday Feb 2nd and Feb 9th, 2024.
Class began with Opening Prayers - 3 OMs, followed by the chanting of Sahana Vavatu. Then invoked the blessings of Lord Ganesha, Goddess Saraswati and all our Gurus, by chanting..

We recited the Daily Prayers ( page#11) in the order of:
• Karagre Vasate
• Samudra Vasane
• Gange cha Yamune
• Sarasvati Namastubhyam
• Brahmaarpanam
• Shubham Karoti
• Kara-charana-krtam vak
- As per our curriculum, we proceeded to learn the Devi Dhyana Shloka (page #39). We recited Mahalakshmi Ashtakam (page 40) all verses in the class. We then continued with our Mahabharata review. We learnt to chant the Mahishasuramardini Stotram (verses 1-7).
Kindly encourage the kids to memorize these and recite them at appropriate times throughout the day. Thus instilling in them, not just the learning part but to put all that they learn, into practice in their daily routine.
Class Activities:
- We have our monthly program on March 1st, 2024. Our class will be performing a mini play on the stage. The children have completed writing their monologues. Few corrections have been posted on Google classroom. Please have the children review and update their passage. They should also practice and memorize their monologue.
- We also discussed their props. Please have the children review their character online and have their props available and ready.
- On Feb 9th, the children practiced playing the Jana gana music as a class. We will continue the music practice on Feb 16th.
Aarathi: We assembled in the main prayer hall for aarathi and concluding prayers. On Feb 9th, the ninth grade children performed their monthly program.
Please have the children do their daily prayers regularly and also practice the ślokas and Gita chanting.
