Please find below updates from our class for Feb 16, 23 and March 1st.
Class began with Opening Prayers - 3 OMs, followed by the chanting of Sahana Vavatu. Then invoked the blessings of Lord Ganesha, Goddess Saraswati and all our Gurus, by chanting..

Class Activities:
The class time in February was spent in helping the children with their monologues and practicing their instruments in preparation for the monthly program. The children were dedicated and showed great interest. This culminated in an amazing performance by the children on stage on March 1st!
On Feb 23rd, we had Spirit day. There were a couple of activities planned for the children in the class and they showed great teamwork and worked well together to score maximum points for their house.
First activity: Each group was given a construction paper. They were also provided with a pen that had 4 strings. The children had to hold the strings (were not allowed to touch the pen) and write "Jai Sri Ram" or draw a bow and arrow.
The children got very creative and successfully completed the activity.
Second activity: The children were given construction sheets of paper. They had to fold each paper such that they were folded and cut into 16 pieces. On each piece of the paper they had to write "Jai Sri Ram", fold it in accordion style. Then they had to punch a hole and string it into a garland. The tasks were divided amongst the children in groups and they executed them very well working together.
They were graded for the two activities and received points for their house.
The children then assembled in the prayer hall for a final group activity for all the grades. The activities were graded and the final score was announced. This was followed by the pledge.
Please have the children do their daily prayers regularly and also practice the ślokas and Gita chanting.
