Hari Om everyone,
We started the class with Om, opening prayer.
For review, we played a game between two teams. Each child took turns answering questions about what we have learned so far. Both sides had equal points. Each child chose a small gift.
Chapter 31
Vibhisana with other raksasas fly to Rama and ask for forgiveness. Although Sugriva is suspicious, Rama takes Hanuman's advice to trust Vibishana. Rama says, "If I do not grant refuge to those who seek it, I shall be going against my very Dharma."
Vibisana is crowned king of Lanka by Rama.
With everyone's help, they try to see how to cross the ocean to reach Lanka. Rama fasted to ask the sea god to help them. Rama gets angry and uses his arrows to attack the ocean. Ocean god asks Rama how he can go against his own nature, which is deep, filled with water. He asks him to seek help from the vanara, Nala, son of Visvakarma to help build the bridge. The vanaras use rocks, trees, boulders to build the bridge. They completed the bridge in 5 days.
Bhajan- kids enjoyed singing Rama bhajans.
Next class is Sunday, May 5th.
With Guru's blessings
