Week 25 Class
Children wrote this Likhita Japa at the start of class - 'Sri Gurubhyo Namaha'/ 'Sri Chinmaya Sadguruve Namaha'. Encourage your child to do likhita japa daily.
Shlokas
We started with Om chanting and then chanted Sahana vavatu, Vakratunda mahakaya, Saraswati namastubhyam, Guru brahma, Sarva mangala mangalye (ref. My Prayers book pg 39).
Vasudeva sutam Devam (ref. Bala Vihar Handbook pg 15, verse 5). The children chanted the Guru Stotram (ref. Bala Vihar Handbook)
Activity: Gurudev Jayanti
We discussed the importance of Guru Parampara in class today. We have the grace of great Gurus who passed on the knowledge of Sanatana Dharma and must always be thankful for them.
For the 108th Gurudev Jayanti, the children made a special Pujya Gurudev lantern and decorated it. The children placed it on Gurudev's altar and took blessings.
There will be a special Guru Paduka Puja in the next Bala Vihar class.
Geeta Chanting
This year your child learned Chapter 4 of the Bhagavad Gita from our Swamiji. You can submit your child's chanting video and get House points for verses memorized.
Details are shared on the Parents WA group.
We had to wrap up class early to watch the fifth-grade play and concluded the session with the Pledge recitation in the Prayer Hall.
