Hari Om Parents,
Today was the second class of Balavihar!! Here is the summary of what we covered in the class today:
All of us assembled in our classroom 'Krishna',Kids were asked to pick their Name Tags and wear it. We all sat in a circle crisscrossing our legs, hands together in Namaskar pose, kept our eyes closed, and then we all chanted three OMs and then chanted the Opening Prayers - Sahana Vavatu.
Yoga time: We did Jumping Jacks, Stretching Exercises, Tree Pose, and a few kids showed different yoga poses that they know and finally we did Thoppakarni(brain yoga) too. Kids participated happily and were very much interested to show the poses they know to all.
Bhajan Time: As it's Ganesh Chathurthi we learnt a small bhajan for Lord Ganesha and repeated it a couple of times.

Swamini amma class visit: Today, Swamini amma came to our class to teach kids bhajans.Swamini amma taught kids two Bhajans - Ganesha Sharanam and Great God Ganapathi. Kids repeated the lines with Actions and we all had fun together!! Videos and pictures were shared in the group Whatsapp.
Brainstorming: We discussed that God loves us so much and we discussed all the things that God gave us. Kids responded by saying Water, Light, Air, Fruits, Flowers, Clothes, money, Parents,food etc.
And then we discussed that the whole world runs by his Supreme Power and everything runs in a systematic manner - Day/Night, Seasons, Life, Oceans, Seas,Flowers bloom, fruits grow, birds, animals everything is provided to us by God.
After this, we started with the first Lesson from our curriculum which starts with a story.
Story Time: Through the story of The Three Questions we learned the answers to the 3 questions :
Who is God ? - God is He, who can do what no one else can do.
Where is God ? - God is everywhere
What does God do? - God can do anything and everything.
Geeta chanting: We will be learning the Bhagavad Geeta Ch 4, so we together practiced the pronunciation of Sanskrit letters and words from

Ch 4 with the help of the primer video which was played on the TV by the Geeta chanting team.
Attendance: Attendance was taken and each kid responded by saying 'Hari Om'. And then we went to the Prayer Hall for Aarthi and Pledge.
It was a very interactive class with kids, all of the kids participated very well and shared with us their thoughts and Ideas.
